Participate in the Pathways Alumni Impact Study!
Pathways to Education Canada is collaborating with the Government of Canada to look at the long-term impact of the Pathways Program on alumni.We're requesting certain info through a short survey, and to thank you for your time, everyone who completes this survey will receive:
A $5 credit for GiftBit
A chance to win one of 100 GiftBit cards worth $50 each
If you participated in the Pathways Program for two or more years, you're eligible to access the Pathways Scholarship to support you with post-secondary education or training (maximum $2,000.) Eligible alumni can access their scholarship through Universities Canada until December 31st of the year they turn 23 years old.
The TELUS Student Bursary provides financial assistance to deserving young people across the country who are committed to giving back in their local communities by taking on a social impact project. Recipients receive a bursary valued at $3,000 (college) or $5,000 (university) to put toward tuition fees at post-secondary institutions in Canada. Remember to identify yourself as Pathways alumni in the “referral” section when applying.
The Leonard Foundation offers scholarships to Canadian post-secondary studentswho demonstrate athletic involvement and leadership potential. With around 100 awards given annually, each valued between $1,000 and $1,500, this is a great opportunity to support your education.
The Glocal Foundation and CANConnect are offering 160 micro-grants to youth across Canada in need of funding for community-driven projects. These grants empower local initiatives focused on social impact, innovation, and positive change.
The Youth Innovations Test Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation supports creative projects that empower young people to make a positive impact in their communities. This grant is meant to help you test and refine innovative ideas that drive social change.
The Government of Quebec offers the Parcours bursary to support students who attend a CÉGEP more than 60 km from their home. Eligible students can receive an annual bursary of $7,500 to ease the financial burden of pursuing education in remote regions of the province.
Pathways Kingston is celebrating 15 incredible years of empowering students and strengthening the community! To mark this milestone, they launcheda special digital magazinereflecting on their journey and the profound impact they've had since 2001. "You will see grit, determination, and community resilience scattered throughout these pages," says Roger Romero, KCHC Manager of Youth Services.
The magazine features inspiring personal stories from alumni, including a wonderful piece about Pathways Alumni Ambassador Charlee on page 13, who is the first person in her family to attend university. Congratulations, Pathways Kingston!

Graduation ceremonies are a staple of many Pathways locations across the country. They provide the opportunity to celebrate young people and their potential, which have inspired the relentless commitment of Pathways staff, volunteers and donors for over two decades. In Mashteuiatsh, the most recent ceremony was a resounding success. “We had an amazing gala to celebrate graduates from the past 5 years,” Program Director Caroline Lambert explains. “Everyone joined in. A dozen people from Rio Tinto, elected officials, so many people to celebrate the achievements of local youth!”
